[attachment=6813:my_pictures_018.jpg] Hi and thanks for looking at my 70 HP engine With full remotes Electric start ( 2 Keys ) and full length cables.
Now the long story short : I bought my boat (pictured) in 2005 with this engine fitted and had the best season ever on the boat even though the boat was as rough as a badgers bum.
I kept the boat out of the water the next year and did a full refit top to bottom right down to the window rubbers and the engine received a full service before going back in in 2007 . Now this is where it gets interesting ,once back in the water the solanoid went on the outboard and as a result of this I burnt out the starter motor trying to start it . So completeley fed up I took the boat out of the water.
In 2008 my best mate was in his final year at the nautical college (marine engineer) and took my engine in as his passing out project and rebuilt it from the ground up fitting : New solanoids, New gaskets throughout, pistons out and cleaned and checked , all cylinder linings checked , gearbox off and checked with oil replaced, new spark plugs , impellor checked and found to be fine and all put back together ready to go back on the boat.
During all this I bought a reconditioned starter motor from America (pictured) which is still in its box .

And thats it, work commitments ,children, dogs ,money and the fact that some illegitimate person stole my trailer meant that I have never managed to get it all back together and in the water.
Now as a result of the work that has been done this may run like a little sweet or it may not run at all I just do not know I have not tried, but if not it wont take much. It has got a few scratches and dunts over the years i reckon it is a 1994 model and some other illigitimate person stole the prop and took the tilt and trim off it (but it was the last thing I had to fix so nae luck to them). So thats it as they say uplift is a must and make no mistake this is a heavy item , I am 6ft 2 and 20 stone and I cannot lift this myself.payment by cash on pickup and you are of course welcome to come and view it or give me a ring on 07814 907329 and I will do what I can.
