What a choice blink.gif
ThornTON
For me Kevin Finlayson, as doing the commentary he was the name I could say in the most positive manner throughout his time on the park.

The rest were very poor, even Shimmin got caught under the ball at least three times.

Someone is obviously taking the piss with Simmonds, he was awful and timing runs well means nothing if you do nothing once you get the ball!
vikingTON
Finlayson was absolutely dreadful when he came on. Really made a mockery of those who suggested we were missing his influence last week. We can run the ball out of play like a headless chicken just fine with Simmonds up front.

McGregor didn't do anything wrong.

Yeah cause he was much worse than Monti was last week dry.gif

despite a couple of errors Shimmin was better than every other Morton player on the park

We have to consider that Monti was being played at left midfield, a position Grady said he wasn't good enough to play. Would you have any belief in your own ability to play in a position your manager has stated publicly that you can't play in?

So you're saying Monti took the huff and purposely played like a coo?

That's the new benchmark for competency, is it?

No, I'm saying he had no confidence in his own ability. Which is Grady's fault.

It didn't bother Masterton when Grady had no confidence in him, but I hear what you're saying, motivation isn't Grady's forte ph34r.gif

No that was in defense of those you claimed were made a mockery of.

We all know you hate Kev, we see it everytime you post, it's more boring than watching a car rust !

Well we clearly didn't miss him, so they were wrong. Hence mockery.

I have nothing personal against Kevin Finlayson. I just have something against watching a mediocre Second-Division calibre player notching up appearance after appearance despite an unerring failure to find a telling cross or influence the game in a positive manner.

Michael Tidser, for me.

Enough about Jim McAlister.

How were they wrong? Finlayson would have been an upgrade from Monti, therefor we did miss him. Just because you didn't doesn't make you right !

You have nothing personal against Kev? - thats quite humerous for you laugh.gif

Funny that Finlayson is currently winning the poll...

McGregor didn't do anything wrong as he doesn't play for us, David MacGregor on the other hand touched the ball twice.

Hiding behind populism and pedantry doesn't do you any favours.

I couldn't in good conscience vote for Shimmin based on the penalty incident alone. Tidser gets the vote but he wasn't earth-shatteringly brilliant anyway.

You would have got MOTM for your appearance on the webcast made the game ...... well it was just like being there ..

Tidser was a bit ineffective but he looked like he can be something for us. I hope he shows some of that promise in the future.

I didn't get the team lines until half time, so had to make do with numbers or in Chris Mitchell's case the guy with the bad streaks! laugh.gif

Maybe just try that with our guys with the ineffectual number 7 run the ball out , the lump of wood of a No3 launches it up aimlessly to no one then we can all guess the line up .

Those who get the closest to the actual team sheet get a pie and a bovril at H-T. laugh.gif

tidser by a country mile, first morton player i have seen in ten years that can pass a ball 25 yards on the deck to someones feet. split the defence well, drops the shoulder well, excellent ball retention. big dom with so many votes? cotton wool! he was shown up yet again yesterday!

edit to add never a left mid, naturally comes inside the park to play all the time and if i wasnt thinking about it i could have easily thought he did play centre mid yesterday, part of the reason reid was rode again also!
Zutons
Tidser followed by Shimmin
