Can't pick on MotM to be honest. Every Morton player was outstanding. (well apart from Keenan who didn't really have enough time to get into the game)

The best is yet to come this season for the wee man

Every Morton player played really well, it was an awful way to loose the way we did.

i find it incredible that the sponsor picked a st mirren player as the MoM.
usually the MoM is given to a player in the home side in a league game, and in cup games it's usually given to a player in the winning side, but come on, morton were clearly the better team for the whole match, just cos st mirren won on penalties doesn't mean they have to get MoM ...
all of our starting 11 played better than any of the st mirren players.
my man of the match was templeman anyway

Very hard to pick a MoM from last nights encounter, every player was magic.
I can't decide, to be honest.
Everyone was great, can't fault anyone.

This is honestly one of the toughest MOTM decisions I've ever made... but I'm going to go for Finlayson.

I went for we Chrissy. He put in a tremendous shift and I really felt sorry for him when his penalty came back off the post.

Millar and Finlayson were outstanding last night but if your looking for the MAN of the match look no further than the captain Stewart Greacen. Lead by example and put in a colossal performance.
A number of players deserved the motm last night. I was proud of them all.

Alex Walker is a tremendous player, a real find by McInally. One of a few players last night that put in performances worthy of the SPL.

each to their own and all that but can you not just leave out your views on Finlayson whether you rate him or not he gives it his all every game for us, you obviously didnt think he was MOM, fair enough, but why did you have to throw in that hes still not good enough in a MOM poll. If you were fishing for a reaction I hope mine satisfies you (sadist) and you will therefore stop so.....GEEZ PEACE, oh and I voted Finlayson btw

Too difficult to pick MOTM as everyone was magnificent. Thought we used the width of the park brilliantly to attack down their flanks through McAllister and Finlayson. Chris Millar put in a fantastic last twenty minutes of normal time and IF he'd have scored near the end it'd would have been goal of the season. We took control of the match after 35 minutes once Alex Walker found his feet and we started keeping the ball on the deck and spraying some passes about. We defintely showed good variety in moves, however our failure once again to score cost us. Our defenders performed superbly against two rated forwards (although not by me on their performances last night). If we keep this up then no doubt we'll be in the first division next year. It's not often opposition managers say the other team deserved to win.
Lot's of positives to take forward from this match, just that touch of ruthlessness in fron of goal, and maybe some luck.

Wanted to vote "the whole team" but Greacen gets my vote for keeping the "great" John Sutton very quiet for the whole game.

decided to go for graecan myself which is an injustice considering how well we played it shouldnt really have gone to a defender (let alone one of them!) so a very close second for me was alex walker - a player who has without doubt improved with every game

Just for the sake of variety I've gone for David McGurn, who was only called upon a few times but only made one mistake that I can think of. But everyone else's choices are just as worthy. A brilliant team performance.
Also, deego, let it go. Clearly you just can't admit your mistakes. What part of Finlayson's performance was "not good enough" on Tuesday? He played two dodgy crosses straight to the keeper, but other than that he was more than good enough!

Just goes to show how well the team played as whole on Tuesday night, I thought
Andy McLaren was superb and would have had more votes than he has, would not argue with Stuart Greacen getting it although I did go for the latter.

Why not have a go at gmfc.net fantasy football then folks ?? You can play for free if you want to, or risk a few bucks to win ... well ... not quite millions .. but hunners !
Can you pick the 4 best players in each match ?
You are looking to match our panel of judges' thoughts on each league game ....... who are those judges I hear you cry !! ..... J. McInally, DDF Rae, A. Montford & R. Graham (Greenock Telegraph).

I agree with those who picked Chris Millar. I thought this was his best game of the season and he looked much stronger and more direct than earlier on in the season.
Doesn't lose any marks in my book for the penalty miss, these things happen.
Great team performance overal , we need to keep this tempo up for the league.
