1st floor holiday apartment available to rent in the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort in Murcia, Spain. It's a 1 hour drive from Alicante airport (easyjet fly there from Glasgow and Edinburgh) and 45 minutes from Murcia St Javier airport (Ryanair fly there from Prestwick).

It's a 15 minute drive to the Mediterranean Sea and the resort of Mazarron.

The apartment is brand new and has 2-bedrooms (one twin, one double), living/dining room with open plan fully equipped kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine) and bathroom with shower and bath. It has a lcd TV with all main British channels, a DVD and is fully air-conditioned.

There is a small 10m2 patio to the front and a large 45m2 private roof terrace. There is a shared swimming pool nearby.

The first of the three courses on the resort designed by Jack Nicklaus is completed and is magnificent - a real challenge for even the best golfers. The rental also includes access to all neighbouring Polaris World resort's facilities and golf courses which are all within a 45 minute drive.

The main town centre is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment, and it has a bar, 2 restuarants and a large well stocked supermarket. Also in the town centre is the club house and golf shop.

Also nearby is a sports complex with tennis and squash course, 5-a-side football pitches and a fully equipped gym.

We're going out for a couple of weeks in July to fit the airco, white goods, telly and fixtures and fittings.

The problem is the furniture. The best the furniture company can tell us at the moment is that it will be delivered 'before the end of August'. Of course I can't take any firm bookings for August or even September for that matter as Spanish delivery deadlines tend to be very elastic (and apparently hee-haw gets done in Spain in August).

As soon as I know for sure when it will be ready then I'll post it on here as a quite a few folk are interested in August and September.

But I think I can already say for sure that August the 11th will unfortunately be too soon, sorry about that.

Keep us mind though for later in the year or next year, 'Ton fan' rates will still apply so drop me a line any time.

My wife likes the "bead-rattlers". Would this impact on the price?

Sorry, but if you want to benefit from the 'Ton fan' rate you'll have to take your bit on the side.

Edit to add: Maybe I should clarify that. 'Ton fan' rates apply to anyone who's been registered on here longer than 6 months and has made at least 50 posts.

Probably, but I'm not yet sure enough to take firm bookings for September.

Everything will be ready in July except for the beds and furniture. I've been told they will be delivered before the end of August but I've also been told from others that Spanish delivery dates can be very elastic, particularly in August when most of Spain is on holiday.

Sorry I can't be more specific at the moment, but I'd obviously not want to take your booking only to have to let you down at the last minute. As soon as I know for sure I'll let you know.

If you're still interested when I know for sure when the furnature will be delivered I'll give you first shout for that week, but if you see something else in the meantime please just book it.

The apartment will finally be available from the 1st of November. We finally got everything delivered and we're going out in the last week of October make sure everything is ready.

Rental rates from 1st Nov until the end of 2009 are given in website in my signature below.

do you use the apartment yourself CHC?my uncle has a villa in la manga and he started off renting it out,but the money he was getting in didnt really justify it. He also doesnt like the feeling of stragners sleeping in it.
He nnow goes out roughly 6 or 7 weeks a year, and the other time its mainly used by family and friends

I do indeed use it myself mate, we're heading out there in a few weeks for a wee winter break.

In fact we bought it for ourselves, not specifically to rent out. We kind of feel the same way ar your Uncle, we only intend to rent it out a few weeks a year to family, friends, friends-of-friends, colleagues, that kind of thing. People we either know ourselves or who we can trust.

Just to let all you golfers out there know that the first golf course, designed by Jack Niklaus himself, is now completed and open for play.
