Think mines will be going to Peter Weatherson. Thought about Andy McLaren but i think he let us down big time against Dumbarton.
1874morton
Jim McAllistar, has been on top for since day one this season.
Doddie
Agree Jim has had an impressive start to the season. Heres hope he can maintaint it during the season.
carlito
Was considering picking Jim, but I went for Peter - he's been immense!
Doddie
Totally agree Corlito, the turnaround from Striker to Defended is top notch and he looks so comfortable at the back. A lot of credit has to go to McInally also for realising Peter could do a job at the back.

Peter has been good, but his distrabution at the back at times is woeful! Him and Ryan really need to look at that part of their game.
LargsTON
How can anyone overlook Lilley?

Unsung hero imo.
Caltonfan
jim, but it was a tough choice between him and peter
Davidoff
I voted for Jim McAlistair, he has been excellent so far. Peter Weatherson would have been my second choice.
Lisa
well done young man. me did jim. hes been brilliant. wahay tongue.gif
massive
Jimbo for me
GazTon
Tough betweeen Peter, Jim and Derek, all have consistently played well.

Proabably Derek for his goals though. smile.gif
Mortonbug
I voted for Jim. Has had a tremendous start to the season, has really came on as a player, long may it continue. Maybe a few goals on the horizon?
Wee Dublin End
I'm going to go against the grain and vote for the goalkeeper who kept us in the game in the game against Dumbarton and had good saves up at Brechin too ; Davie has been in fine form and is displaying a lot of confioence , I hope he keeps it up , he seems like a good lad.

Weatherson and McAllister have turned in consistently excellent performances. McLaren has been inspirational and dominant , especially on my birthday v Forfar where he had a magnificent individual perforance , however , the sending off for lunacy at Dumarton has cost you my vote this month Andy , sorry.

Trusting this satisfies the question from my viewpoint.
midTONs
Jim McAllistar gets my vote with Peter and Andy not far behind.

Not in my book. He's the best in the team. But some expect him to be M.o.M. every week, which is too much.
SpoonTon
I went for McAlister, the improvement so far this season has been astounding. Lilley, McLaren and Weatherson have all been fantastic too.
DongaTon
Shouldn't all theplayers used be available for vote here?

Hmm, shut out king or goalscorer or most improved...
DongaTon
Weatherson it is - important goals and good defending.
IainMorton
I voted for McGurn. Why isn't Templeman there? tongue.gif

how much longer are we going to keep using the fact that peter used to be a striker as another factor in determining how good a defender he is? he's a defender now, that's that. not that it isn't a remarkable turnaround, but all i'm saying is if he and ryan harding both play excellently, are we going to give peter the MoM because he used to be a striker? maybe we could do that in the first few weeks after the switch from front to back, but surely not any more ...

i went for jim cos although peter's been solid at the back (best of the back 3 whether he used to be a striker or not) his distribution could and should be better. i used to think jim wasn't particularly skillful but he's been consistently impressive down the wing recently.
forza ton
i think its just the fact that spoonsy is playing so well in defence but he is a real threat going forward. the guy is an all round good footballer and he gets my vote smile.gif
don_vito
was about to click on Jimbo however Peter has scored goals for us which couls prove to be invaluble come the end of the season, Jim has been excellent however and I hope he continues his form (a stranger in the pub unreliabley informed me that Jim is being scouted by Rangers, though in his current form its not that big a surprise) Andy has been good however his red card last week puts him back a bit and McGurn has also been excellent.
gmfc_boyo
Jim McAlister
PE-TER
Andy McLaren

my top 3, all have been superb so far this season, but im goin to have to say Weatherson gets my vote, our best defender by far IMO and has popped up with a couple of important goals too
bobby
Jim mcAllister..sooooooperb
BasraTon
I think Andy should have it, he's the one that has provided most pf our goals so far, great eye on the ball, great provider.
WeeTon
Yes Andy has been good but has everyone forgot how he could cost us with his stupid sending off? Peter has been great defensively but his passing is terrible, he would rather hoof the ball up the park. Harding's passing isn't much better, anyone notice how he plays the same diagonal long ball over and over again? I think Jim has given us something in every area, he's been great defensively and gets forward when he can, all he needs now is a goal! smile.gif
