Couldn't give a s*** if it deflects from the more pressing issue of getting a couple of players in.

Hopefully this will prove to be a good decision as clearly Hawke has ideas and the drive and energy to take them forward. Good luck to him.

Bad weekend was it? :D On a serious note, good appointment I think, seems to really be making a difference since he has come back

If he is Chief Executive in fact rather than only in name this should be a really positive development for the club particularly if it also means that Mr Rae senior is taking a step back from the decision making role. A younger man, also committed to the club and with a good knowledge of most aspects of the game and its structures taking over when things appear to be on the up can only be a good thing.

ps If we are to operate on the model developed and successful in a number of other clubs, his first job should be to successfully negotiate terms for a new striker to be identified by Jim Duffy in the very near future we hope.

Spoke to Warren today. He definitely has ideas and drive to move the club forward in many aspects. He has ambition and drive for both on and off field development. A really good decision, I think.

Congrats to Warren

As others have said, given the direction he has helped give the club over the last couple of seasons this is a well deserved and sensible appointment.

Will be interesting to see what his ideas are, but personally I think it could be a fantastic move for the club in the medium to long term.

Agreed, but surely it's also good to look at the long term as well. I think you should give a f**k if you're a fan, because a good CE can make a difference. Just ask the St Mirren fans. Their general opinion about Tony Fitzpatrick is, nice guy, club legend, but terrible CEO and part of the reason they are where they are now.

Edit to add: for clarity, I'm not suggesting BTW that because Warren is also a nice guy and club legend that he'll also make a terrible CE. :)

Going by the "gets the ball, scores a goal" chant, Warren Hawke doesn't really need to do much to win the majority of Morton fans over.
Here's hoping he does a good job in his new role.

I don't know him very well and I don't know everything he does, but what I will say is that when I was briefly involved with the Supporters Trust board, Warren was a real "doer" and wasn't just talk. He's an extremely hard worker too. Again, not saying I know him well enough to say with 100% certainty but any sign I've seen from him has been 100% positive.

If I were TT I'd frankly be far more concerned if that deranged loonball thought I wasn't a w**k.

Well that's a relief, I'd be worried if he didn't, only creepy weirdos are mates with him.
