On other threads folk are touting the strikers rolls to be filled by Kudus and Scullion.

Has Oliver been officially ruled out, possibly I've missed it if he has.

I know he took a sore one on Hogmanay, but is it severe enough to keep him out this week?

Duffy listed our problems in the attacking positions on Clyde last night. He mentioned Jai 'out for a couple of months', McDonut '2 match ban' and Oliver (not sure what he said about Oliver, but listing him would suggest he's at least doubtful).

Also doubtful is that Scullion will get anywhere near a start.

Fully expect option 1 is a signing partnering Kudus if we can get one in time. Option 2 likely to be Nesbitt and Kudus. Option 3 being O'Ware and Kudus. Option 4 Tidser and Kudus. Option 5 McGowan and Kudus. Then if all that fails, Scullion might get a look in.

Gaston

Doyle Kilday O'Ware Lamie

Forbes Murdoch Lindsay Russell

Nesbitt or Tidser

Scullion

That's the team I'd like to see, not the team I think Duffy will play. I'd be fearful of a strike pair of Nesbitt and Scullion being shoved about easily.

Would be confident of a win if Oliver was fit and Oyedunga wasn't playing

Oliver or a new signing.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Banana skin alert, especially after Dumbarton's result last week. We cannot afford to be dropping points here as we already did in the previous meeting, and failed to beat the worst team in the league last week (despite the scenes at the end.) Unfortunately Oyenuga will start, though I think we might see Scullion up there with him if Oliver is definitely out. I'm not keen on Lamie at left back as I think Russell & Nesbitt on the left is a better partnership, especially on the left, but I think if Duffy has the chance to get him, O'Ware & Gunning on the park he's going to take it.

Will go 2-1 Morton.

Nesbitt
Oyenuga

I'd personally play scullion instead of Oyenuga but I think that's what he will go for. If scullion doesn't get a look in just now the boy may aswell tell Duffy he wants to leave. Got to give him a chance at somepoint

You can't play Scullion as a lone striker, the suggestion alone is absolutely mental.

It's an infinitely less mental suggestion than putting Oyenuga on the pitch.

Dumbarton are running scared of Kudus.

I'm tempted to put a couple of quid on Kudus to score tomorrow.  The odds on my customary O'Ware to score punt are pitiful this week.

Iv got a wee feeling that Kudus is going to score a brace tomorrow, will need to check the odds on it.

I'd be wary of men in white coats clutching a straitjacket while you're trying to cast that bet.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Scott Tiffoney in place of Russell on the wing. Russell has been ropey over the past three matches and Tiffoney has just returned from some 1st team action albeit Clyde. That may allow Russell to re-focus for the 2nd half of the season and some competition in that position.

Gatson

Doyle O'Ware Kilday Lamie

Forbes Murdoch Tidser Lindsay Russell

Kudus

Would be willing to stick money on the team being:

Gaston

Doyle Kilday O'Ware Lamie

Forbes Murdoch Lindsay Russell

Nesbitt

Oyenuga

edit to add: only if Oliver is injured.

I don't necessarily think Kilday has to come back in. O'Ware and Lamie centre half, Russell and Doyle full backs. Nesbitt will start I'm sure. I'd push him up to play off Kudus.

However if it was up to me I'd even rather start O'Ware up front with Kilday at the back than big Kudus. Even with his record against Dumbarton.

Whilst I think Tiffoney may turn out to be a decent player, and what I have seen of him has generally been promising, it would be crazy to drop Russell to accommodate him.

Tiffoney did nothing at Clyde to suggest he merits a start at this level. It should be Russell & Nesbitt on the left, that's our most dangerous combination.
