I see simple addition fails you.

No, recollection does. And only in the sense that Wake's goalscoring exploits actually took place in a Morton team finishing 18th in Scottish football: a higher level than McGraw's deserved award based on the 1963-64 campaign. So cementing the point that you tried to undermine. Thanks for that gift, chump!

Looks like Merrydown Mhairi will be battering you in your sleep tonight. Again.

What about McGraw's 12 goals the following season in the top tier, finishing 10th in Scottish Football?

What about them? Does 12 goals in a 34 game season for a middling top flight club lead to a Hall of Fame induction? If so, then Kris Doolan and Brian Graham should clear their diary now for their own big ceremony.

So to recap, Merrydown Mhairi's dismissal of Wake's record v a deserved Hall of Famer was shot to bits, only for you to provide extra ammunition to wipe out the rest of your collective, failed argument. Well done dickhead. With friends like you it's no wonder that Ernie and his Walter Mitty backer lost £21k on a failed court case.

Morton finished 19th in the SFL that year, and were back in time to win the third leg of La Decima by 1967. I'm sure 63/64 was fantastic, and there were other good times after that (I recall Joe Caven telling us all about scudding Kilmarnock 5-1), but we survived in the old eighteen team division one for one solitary season. That is not anywhere near on a par with some of the great teams to grace Scottish football in every generation since it's inception.

Still, let's not let these pesky facts get in the way of you trying to make a tit out of someone, only for it to end with you looking like Kirk Broadfoot, you complete f*cking bellend.

We had 2 seasons in the top division, 64-65 and 65-66.  1966 was a pretty bad year as not only did we get relegated but England won the world cup.

The 66-67 team was pretty good though.

So they survived 'for one solitary season' then, as stated in the quote that you posted. In a shan, eighteen division as well.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

We survived for 2 seasons.  At the end of the second season, we were relegated.  Until the completion of the second season, we were still surviving. The original post implied that we only had one season in the top division and that is incorrect.
