Tidser, Kilday and O'Ware have all captained Morton from their early 20s. Sure Millar might have as well.

Greacen was about 24 when he became captain.

Captaincy isn't given out based on age. If you're a natural leader then youre old enough

24 is no longer early 20s. You're fooling no one.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

20-23 is early. 24-26 is mid. 27-29 is late. That's the rule.

At the age of 32, Alexander of Macedonia wept salt tears, for there were no more worlds to conquer.

Gavin Gunning is only 25.

Anyone have any idea/news on the other player we might be getting in this window? Sure I read an interview with Jim and he said he was trying to get one more in.

I would like to see us bringing in another attacking option, preferably a winger, defence seems solid enough and McGowan is fine as backup keeper

The only real options for Duffy to be interested in would be a goalkeeper, winger or striker as we are more than covered everywhere else.

Wouldnt say we are more than covered at centre half. Yes we probably could get away with it, but if one is injured/suspended, we have no cover on the bench and sometimes you might even find our 3 natural centre backs on the park at the same time.

Look at the Dumbarton game- Lamie was injured, Oware and Kilday starting meaning no cover on the bench if one of them got sent off or got injured.

Might get lucky, but could you imagine Oware/Kilday, Oware/Lamie or Lamie/Kilday were out at the same time..

I'm sure doyle filled in at cb earlier in the season, he can move in there in the case of emergency.

Didn't Doyle fill in at centre half earlier in the season and do well there?

Or - Kudus could be a world beating centre half in waiting.

Only played there the once I think, when we won 5-0 at Palmerston. He also filled in at left back when Lamie and Russell were both out for the 2-1 win against Dunfermline, when McDonagh first played at right back.

He moved to centre back in the game Kilday went off injured, I think and did very well.

That was McDonut's first appearance at right back and Doyle talked him through the game - thought he looked really comfortable.

He moved there in the 1-0 win over Raith when Gunning was stretchered off. Played just over half that game, then the next game against QOS. Clean sheet both time.

McDonut did indeed move to right back in that game (started at right mid) but he had actually played right back 2 weeks prior at home to Dunfermline.

Not sure how this fits in the timeline but I'm sure he ended up at right back away to Ayr, albeit only for 5-10 mins or so.

John Mitchell performs at a very high level for the reserves week in week out. I wouldn't be too concerned about having to use him if needs be. Expect he'll be pushing for a place next season.
