It feels like that time Tom Watson lost the Open.

All he needed was a par down the last (and Queens only had to see out injury time).

Gutted.

lol.

In what way do we "deserve everything coming our way" ?

We won't be relegated to Legaue 1 and you can feel free to quote me on that at any time.

Absolutely LOVING the billy big bollocks attitudes in here lads.

You've just beaten St.Mirren for the first time in 17 years and you've suddenly got the arrogance of the Old Firm about you.

U ok Div m8?

watched Only an Excuse on Hogmanay at 11pm.  Wasnt that good tbh.

Anyway, there was a sketch of a made up Mr. Trump (Johnathan watson) on how to improve jobs, economy etc in Scotland. After a few comments, mr. trump said he was going into Paisley to make St.Mirren great again.  He then showed the black cap with slogan on it "Make St.Mirren Great Again"

Dont think so though with Mr. Dross as their manager.

They play at home next week against Queens; this will be a must win (considering Queens dreadful form) if they wish to stay up. They also recently beat them.

I want them to flounder in the seaside league in their stupid, empty shoebox of a ground like Airdrie United. And then go bust after a few years like Airdrieonians.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

By pretty much any measure except maybe stadium St. Mirren are a bigger club than Morton, but in my opinion this just makes their current predicament all the more hilarious.

I'd rather they stayed up.

I miss the derby games when we are in different leagues.

Plus, financially for Morton it's important as they bring a decent away support to Cappielow

I coukd go 100 years without derby games if it meant they suffered, and I'd expect every other Morton fan to feel the same.

I wasn't really that fussed as I was more concerned about us winning promotion to care about what happens to them. But after watching their fans turn in to a seething mess over on PnB during the last week, I hope they go down in the most humiliating way possible.

Great. Let's shoot ourselves in the foot and be financially worse off next season.

And will you get as excited and loom forward to games against Livingston or whoever comes up?

Be honest now as I bet the answer is no

Can you get a grip? How is he shooting himself in the foot? Is he supposed to rig the next derbies to keep them up?

We should be planning to be in a different league anyway by gaining promotion.

I recognise that it's a long shot, but it's further reason for those holding the purse strings too loosen them up and bring in two quality players as well as busting a gut to keep sir Gavin.

Where's the ambition.

Prize money for 3rd place is pretty lucrative or at least more so than not being 3rd. That should be our aim.

Get it right up the midden

I haven't actually seen the prize money published for 2016-17 but last season there was a huge difference between third and fouth, and fourth and fifth, then a smaller difference all the way down.

https://stv.tv/sport..._medium=twitter

Championship is about three quarters of the way down the page.

Don't know if the figures have changed this year.

Given the choice of drawing twice in a season with their worst team in history or seeing them suffer humiliation of being relegated to the third tier of scottish football after years of lording it over us then give me the humiliating relegation every single ****ing time.

Any idea what the prize money was when we finished second behind Partick? £50k rings a bell.

I thought £60k was the figure, and you got the same for winning the First Division as you got for finishing bottom of the Third.

£67k according to this.

Amazing that as soon as Rangers were "demoted" to the Third Division the motion to utterly shaft second place passed :D
