Didn't see a specific thread for this.

The U-20s are playing East Kilbride in the development league tonight.

https://twitter.com/Morton_FC

McGowan, Hynes, Hayes, Barr, Durham, Langan, Eardley, Lyon, Armour, Trialist (!), Purdue
Subs: Anderson, Duffy, Easdale, Docherty, Carracher

-------------------------

So other than Barr, and perhaps the trialist, this is an all-youth lineup, with McGowan getting some game time he's thus far been denied at ****ing "Troon FC."

Tony Wallace "stars" for EK tonight. 0-0 after 20 minutes.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

I posted in it as well, what humiliation.

If this can be merged into that I'd be grateful.

If only there was somewhere you could go to see how all our loan players got on at the weekend.

Poor performance tonight. Had plenty of the ball but couldn't score. Hit the post 3 times and a couple off the line. Too many had an off night.
Reece Lyons again did well in middle of park.
Ben Armour took his goal well and he impressed again.
McGowan was other one on top of his game. Couple of tidy crosses and a couple of decent saves. Also made one unbelievable save to stop east kilbride knocking a win.
Still undefeated but definately 2 points dropped. Although easy kilbride were a better team than both Clyde and Albion Rovers.

not be long before EK are in the professional league. They seem to have a right good set-up.

I'm down at Dumfries to watch our young squad. Queen off the South going with a strong line up.
James McFadden starts. Last time I saw him play was for Scotland in Paris lol

4-2 Up at half time. Tiffoney langhan Lyons and Purdue with goals. Mc fadden with 1 goal and an assist for them.
Been a great game. Both teams excellent going forward. I've a feeling it won't stay like this

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Queens are the best team in the division but that is some impressive bottling.

McFadden scored 4 and ran amok 2nd half. Whole game turned on their penalty. It was a blatant foul on Darren Barr by McFadden. The ref gives a penalty and sends off Mitchell Duffy who was 5 yards away from anyone. After that we lost our heads and the experience players they had finished strong.

I imagine cotter watches more youth football than most of the posters on here - do you reckon the young players learn from coming up against guys like McFadden (or, to be fair, Barr), or is it just men against boys?

Young Nathan Durham handled him fairly well in 1st half but McFadden stepped up a gear in 2nd.
It was a lesson as him and Andy Stirling ran the show late on. But the penalty turned the game. I'm a pretty honest but it was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen.
Queens front 3 were McFadden,Stirling and Rooney. All guys with good experience and that was the difference.
They took their chances and we missed a few.
A tough one for us but kids will learn and kick on next game.

1-1 v queens park tonight. Horrible night for a game but both teams put on a decent show.
Queens went ahead with a soft penalty. After we equalised we were well on top but couldn't grab a winner
