Promising start to the qualifying campaign, 1-0 up to Malta just now, and we have the 'Scottish Gareth Bale' in the guy who seemed to appear from nowhere Oliver Burke

and no sign of Scott Brown :)

edit: spoke to soon. 1-1

Oh dear...

Burke hasn't been great (he'll come good, I'm fairly positive) but Hanley is especially bad. He needs to be playing every week imo, he's not like Hutton who can drop into a side and look alright.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Anyone know where there is a working stream?

We're going to struggle in subsequent games, I reckon, looking lightweight in Central midfield and generally easily bullied, which is unusual for a Scotland team. Nonetheless we at least broke them down.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Fair play to Snodgrass, he earned that.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Bannan improved a lot in the second half. Good performance overall, center back is a problem, but can't ask for anything more against a stuffy team like Malta.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

That was alright last night, but still doesn't give me much confidence heading towards the tougher sides. Given the players currently at our disposal we may need to plump for attacking at all times as the back line is suspect.

Abject performance last night. Strachan's time is up.

His time was up when he played Craig Forsyth in Dublin.

Ritchie, Martin and Forrest are absolutely dreadful. I actually kinda sympathise with Martin a bit, he does his best but he's just so woefully bad; playing him twice in a row is enough on its own for a manager to lose his job.

This ugly, vulgar, hard, hermetic, hardly eye-catching, hardly football style...if they win with this they got satisfaction, fine, but they ended up losing.

Also, Griffiths is the most over-rated player going. Decent for Celtic, but has done nothing in a Scotland strip to suggest he has the ability required to cut it at that level.

We should be putting the feelers out for a new manager before the March games. Strachan has dropped too many vital points. You need to be taking 12 from seeds 5 and 6.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

I was hopeful about Strachan and the style of football he wanted to play but I must confess there have been too many rank performances against very ordinary opposition and he doesn't seem to have an answer.

Last night was dreadful to watch and even although we don't have much quality we should at least be able to orgnise ourselves, maintain possession and put the opposition under some real pressure at home.

Not much heart, skill or ideas on the park or in the dugout and no signs that the embarrassment is about to stop.

I think we're one good center back away from the best team in 15 years (admittedly this isn't saying much.) Walter Smith may be a terrible person but give him yesterday's squad and he'd easily take us to 2nd place.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

At just about every level aside from the women we are going backwards into oblivion. Difficult to see any positives or where we go from here.

Strachan won't go, time for the SFA to act. They won't, though.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

In fairness it'd be funny to see a TA 'foot soldier' on 'maneuvers' getting chucked into some Arab jail for baring his arse in the souq.

Most frustrating thing about the last few days has been the constant whinging from Celtic supporters about "Griffis" And Forrest. You'd think we were leaving out Suarez and Neymar if you listened to some of them tiresome ****.

Anyway, last night is pretty much exactly we deserved for so many supporters and the entire Scottish footballing establishment politely clapping and going "oh well done Gordon, you made a right **** of the Euros but it's OK". Strachan should be out of a job by the weekend and his superiors should suffer the same fate not long after.
